| Executive Committee Meetings |
| During the year of review we had 12 Executive committee meetings hosted by members individually and jointly. A special vote of thanks to the spouses & family members for the excellent support
Meetings were hosted by Rohan Goonetilake, Rienzie Fernando, Cecil Perera, Rohan Ponweera, Rohitha Thilakaratne, Prasad Jayasuriya, Roy Silva, Nalin Silva, Roshan Silva, Dr. Maithri Perera, Hugh Alwis, Dr. Manil Fernando, Dayan Fernando, Shane Fernando, Dhammika Perera & Dr. Paul Perera. |
| Dental Renovation Project |
| As the school dental clinic at college was in a dilapidated state, Rev. Fr. Rector requested our branch for assistance in refurbishing it. We undertook the challenge and refurbished it to the satisfaction of Fr. Rector and the Health Authorities. The handing over ceremony was on 2nd December 2015. The cost was approximately Rs. 1.5mn in addition to the material assistance by well wishers. Our clinic was adjudged the best in Colombo District and the oral health week celebrations were held in the Bonjean Hall attended by the Director General of Health Services. Certain unique innovative designs in our clinic have been recognized by the Health Ministry and will be adopted by other clinics island wide. |
| Sing-along 2015 – Blue & White September Breeze |
| A sing-along was organized by the club on 26th September 2015 at the Grand Oriental Hotel as a fundraiser for future projects. Annesley Malawana & The Super Chimes provided entertainment for a crowd of more than four hundred who danced & sang past midnight. The Sing-along was a roaring success & the club was able to earn a profit exceeding Rs. One million. |
| Exco Annual Trip |
| The annual trip was organized by President Dr. Paul Perera and was held on 9th & 10th January 2016 at Carolina Beach Hotel, Chilaw with participation of approximately 40 members and their families. |
| Christmas Party |
| The Christmas party was held at Hotel Ramada, Seeduwa on 18th December 2015 with the attendance of Members & their families. Mr. Hilerian Gunawardena who dressed as Santa Claus entertained the children & gave away gifts. Several fun games were also organized for the children & adults who enjoyed those thoroughly. Party was a great success & concluded well past midnight. |

| The website & Facebook group were used to disseminate information about of events organized by the club & other college news. |
| Membership Drive |
| President Dr. Paul stressed the importance of recruiting new members to the club regularly at meetings. 11 new members were introduced during the period. |
| News Letters |
| During the year a very informative newsletter was circulated to all members in November 2015. We would like to thank the Editor Cecil Perera & his team for an excellent job done. |
| Annual Cricket Encounter |
| Two cricket matches were played during the past year with Negombo OBU Branch. The match originally scheduled to be played on Independence Day 2015 was held on 2nd June 2015 at the St. Joseph’s College Enderamulla grounds. Negombo Branch were put in to bat by Ja Ela Wattala branch after winning the toss & were bowled out for 114 runs. Ja Ela Wattala Branch chased down the target in 15 overs only losing 3 wickets. The second match was played on 4th of February of 2016 at the Coconut Research Institute grounds in Lunuwila. Negombo Branch were bowled out for 98 runs & Ja ela Wattala Branch chased down the target in the 13th over with 4 wickets down. Rohitha Thilakaratne led the teams in both occasions. |

In conclusion, I take this opportunity to thank President Dr. Paul Perera, Exco members & Past Presidents for their dedication, commitment in steps taken to uplift the club in every aspect & for support rendered to me in performing my duties. Further I would like to congratulate in advance the new president & new office bearers for the year 2016/2017.
